He shakes in his sleep, but im not sure if its a normal thing for cats or if he's maybe experiencing seizures, i looked up if it was normal for cats and it said occasional shaking or twitching is normal because of dreaming but his shaking is throughout his entire body and it lasts for like 30 seconds to a minute each time he shakes. But i only ever see him shaking when he is sleeping.

It's quite normal for cats to twitch or shake a little while they're sleeping, often because they're dreaming. This is similar to humans during REM sleep, where dreams occur and the body might twitch or move slightly. However, if you notice that your cat's shaking is more intense and involves the entire body for 30 seconds to a minute, it would be a good idea to monitor this closely.
At home, there are a few steps you can take:
Firstly, observe the frequency and intensity of these episodes. Keep a record of how often they occur and their duration. Also, pay attention to any changes in your cat's behavior when awake, such as disorientation or lethargy.
Next, check your cat's environment. Make sure they are comfortable and not exposed to any stressors that might affect their sleep. Providing a calm and quiet sleeping area can be beneficial.
Additionally, monitor for other symptoms. Look for any signs of health issues, such as changes in appetite, energy levels, or coordination when your cat is awake.
If possible, try to capture a video of the shaking episodes. This can be very helpful if you decide to consult a veterinarian later on.
Should the shaking episodes become more frequent or intense, or if you notice any concerning symptoms when your cat is awake, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian to rule out any underlying conditions.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
