So every night (around 2-4AM) she chirps nonstop. The sound is supposedly rare to hear though so the meaning isn't fully known but people think it means stress or fear (that's what I have been told atleast). But there's no known stress factors here unless it's a mouse bothering them or something.
So is there a chance in this case it's a happy or bored noise? Maybe wanting attention???

Chirping in guinea pigs is indeed a rare and somewhat mysterious behavior. While it's often linked to stress or fear, it can also occur for other reasons, such as seeking attention or expressing excitement. Since you've mentioned there are no apparent stress factors, your guinea pig might be chirping for attention or due to some other environmental factor that isn't immediately obvious.
Let's consider a few things that might help:
Firstly, take a look at her environment. Ensure that her living space is comfortable, with no sudden changes in temperature, lighting, or noise that might be causing her to chirp. Sometimes, even small disturbances like a draft or a distant noise can be unsettling for them.
Next, think about the attention and interaction she receives. Guinea pigs are social creatures and may chirp to get your attention, especially if they're feeling lonely or bored. Try spending some extra time with her during the day, offering gentle interaction and play.
Also, consider her routine and enrichment. Make sure she has a consistent routine and plenty of enrichment in her cage, such as toys, tunnels, and things to chew on. This can help reduce boredom and provide mental stimulation.
Lastly, observe for any patterns or triggers associated with the chirping. This might help you identify if there's something specific causing it.
If the chirping continues and you're concerned, monitor her for any other signs of stress or discomfort. However, if she's otherwise healthy and happy, it might just be one of those unique quirks that some guinea pigs have.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you!
