It sounds like your cat is experiencing some changes in her urination habits, which can be concerning. This could be due to a variety of factors, such as stress, environmental changes, or even a medical issue like a urinary tract infection. Let's explore a few steps you can take to address this situation.
Firstly, make sure her litter box is clean and easily accessible. Cats can be quite particular about their litter boxes, and they might avoid using one that is dirty or difficult to reach.
Next, consider any recent changes in your household. New furniture, visitors, or other alterations in her environment can sometimes stress cats, leading to changes in their behavior. Identifying and minimizing these stressors can be helpful.
If her behavior continues, it might be a good idea to check for any underlying medical issues. Cats sometimes urinate inappropriately if they have urinary tract infections or other health concerns.
To encourage her to use the litter box, try placing it in a quiet and comfortable location. You might also experiment with different types of litter to see if she has a preference.
If this behavior persists or you notice other symptoms, such as straining to urinate, blood in the urine, or increased frequency, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian to rule out any medical issues.
