It's concerning to hear that your new kitten is not drinking water or eating, and is experiencing green stools. At 48 days old, it's crucial for a kitten to eat regularly to support rapid growth and development.

The lack of appetite and water intake could be due to several factors, such as stress from the new environment, unfamiliarity with the food being offered, or an underlying health issue.

You can also try warming the food slightly to enhance the aroma. Make sure fresh water is always available and consider providing a shallow bowl to make it easier for the kitten to drink.

For the green stools, this could indicate a dietary change or a gastrointestinal issue. Since the kitten is new to your home, it's possible that the change in diet or environment is affecting its digestive system. However, if the green stools persist, it could be a sign of an infection or other health concerns.

If you notice any of the following symptoms, it's important to seek immediate veterinary care:

- Persistent refusal to eat or drink for more than 24 hours.
- Continued production of green stools or a change to diarrhea.
- Vomiting or retching.
