The inability to walk straight and balance issues could be related to an ear infection, which can affect equilibrium, or it could be a sign of a neurological problem. Sudden shakes or tremors in sleep could be normal dreaming behavior, but if they are severe or accompanied by other symptoms, they could indicate a seizure disorder or other neurological issues.

Vomiting and diarrhea are common symptoms in ferrets and can be caused by a variety of factors, including dietary indiscretion, infectious diseases (such as canine distemper virus, which ferrets are vaccinated against with the CDV vaccine), foreign body ingestion, or internal parasites. Itching can be a sign of external parasites, allergies, or skin infections.

In the current condition, if you notice any of the following additional symptoms, it is crucial to seek immediate veterinary care: persistent vomiting or diarrhea leading to lethargy or dehydration, difficulty breathing, seizures, extreme weakness, or if your ferret stops eating or drinking entirely. These signs could indicate a serious condition that requires prompt medical attention.
