3days ago I noticed when Simba try’s to be vocal it’s like he lost his voice and can’t meow. Now he’s throwing up after eating. He hasn’t been playing much like he usually does and he sleeps a lot more
I'm sorry to hear that Simba isn't feeling well. The symptoms you're describing—vomiting, loss of voice, decreased activity, and increased sleep—can indeed be concerning. Let's discuss some potential causes and steps you can take to help him.
First, Simba's loss of voice might be linked to an upper respiratory infection, which is quite common in cats. These infections can also lead to lethargy and a decreased appetite.
Vomiting after eating could be due to several reasons, such as dietary indiscretion, hairballs, or more serious conditions like gastrointestinal infections or obstructions.
Stress or anxiety from changes in the environment or routine can also cause symptoms like vomiting and behavioral changes in cats.
Additionally, there could be a foreign body stuck in Simba's throat or gastrointestinal tract, which might explain both the vomiting and the loss of voice.
For home care, ensure Simba stays hydrated by offering fresh water frequently and consider adding a bit of water to his food. Try feeding him smaller, more frequent meals to see if that helps with the vomiting. A bland diet, such as boiled chicken and rice, might also be beneficial for a short period. Lastly, keep Simba in a quiet, stress-free environment to aid his recovery.
Given that these symptoms have persisted for three days and are affecting Simba's overall behavior and well-being, I strongly recommend scheduling a visit to the veterinarian as soon as possible. They can perform a thorough examination and possibly run tests to determine the underlying cause and provide appropriate treatment.
