Yesterday I’d realized I hadn’t seen my cat all day so i went outside looking for him in all his favorite spots and i didnt find a spot he was in. Later that night i found him on the side of our house sleeping in a pile of leaves? I picked him up and brought him inside and he growled whenever someone pet him too much? I tried to give him food, he wouldn’t eat, he drank a little bit of water and then i laid him in my bed and he slept there for the rest of the night didn’t move except for in his sleep. Today he seems better, he was walking around more and drank some water but he went back outside to that exact spot he was yesterday and he wont eat. Im worried.

It sounds like your cat is going through some behavioral changes and has lost his appetite, which can indeed be concerning. Cats often seek solitude when they're not feeling well, and the fact that he's choosing to lay outside in the same spot might suggest he's trying to find comfort or relief from something that's bothering him.

There are a few possibilities that might explain his behavior and symptoms. Stress or anxiety could be a factor, especially if there have been changes in his environment or routine. Such changes can sometimes lead cats to seek solitude and lose their appetite. Additionally, if he's growling when touched, it might indicate pain or discomfort, possibly due to an injury or an internal issue. Illness is another possibility, as loss of appetite and lethargy can be symptoms of various conditions, ranging from mild to more serious.

For now, I recommend closely monitoring his behavior. Make sure he has access to fresh water and a quiet, comfortable place to rest indoors. You might also try offering him some highly palatable food, like a small amount of tuna or chicken, to see if that entices him to eat.

If his behavior doesn't improve, or if he shows additional symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, or continued lethargy, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can perform a thorough examination to determine if there's an underlying health issue that needs to be addressed.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
