She was a very fast healthy kitten and all of sudden she started loosing unhealthy amount of weight and losing hair on and above her tail and few other patches but not as badly as tail

It sounds like your cat is experiencing some concerning symptoms, such as weight loss and hair loss, particularly around the tail area. There are a few potential causes for these symptoms that we should consider.
Firstly, parasites like fleas or mites can lead to hair loss and discomfort, causing your cat to groom excessively. Since you're already using flea prevention, it's important to ensure that it's being applied correctly and consistently.
Another possibility is allergies. Cats can develop allergies to various things, including food, environmental factors, or even flea bites, which can result in hair loss and skin irritation.
Stress or behavioral issues might also be contributing factors. Sometimes, stress or anxiety can cause cats to over-groom, leading to hair loss. It might be helpful to think about any recent changes in her environment that could be causing stress.
Nutritional deficiencies are another consideration. Make sure she is receiving a balanced diet that meets all her nutritional needs. Occasionally, a change in diet can help alleviate these symptoms.
Lastly, there could be underlying medical conditions, such as hyperthyroidism or hormonal imbalances, that might be causing the weight loss and hair loss.
For home care, try to ensure she's eating a high-quality diet and keep an eye out for any additional symptoms, such as changes in behavior or appetite. If the hair loss or weight loss continues or worsens, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can perform tests to determine the exact cause and recommend appropriate treatment.
