It sounds like your Norfolk Terrier is experiencing some adjustment challenges, which is quite common for dogs that have recently been adopted or introduced to a new pet.

Establishing a routine is also crucial. Dogs thrive on predictability, so try to feed, walk, and play with her at the same times each day. This consistency can help her feel more secure in her new environment.

Using positive reinforcement can be very effective. Offer treats and praise when she responds to her name or other sounds. This will help her associate her name with positive experiences and encourage her to respond more readily.

If you have another pet, introduce them gradually and under controlled conditions. This slow introduction can help minimize stress and anxiety for both animals.

Providing interactive toys can also be beneficial. These toys can keep her mentally stimulated and distracted from any anxiety she might be feeling.

If her whining persists or if you notice any other concerning behaviors, consulting with a professional dog trainer or behaviorist might be helpful. They can offer more personalized strategies to assist with her adjustment.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.

It sounds like you're doing an excellent job in helping her adjust to her new home. Providing toys, a comfortable bed, and treats will certainly contribute to creating a positive and secure environment for Reba.

However, if Reba develops symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, lethargy, seizures, or breathing problems, get back to me - these are symptoms that could indicate an underlying illness.

I sincerely hope Reba stay healthy.
