Vomiting in cats can stem from various causes, ranging from something as simple as hairballs to more serious conditions. Given that your cat initially vomited hair and a blade of grass, it’s likely that the initial cause was a hairball or something he ingested outside. The clear, foamy liquid that followed is often due to an empty stomach or irritation.

First, it’s a good idea to give your cat's stomach a rest by withholding food for 12 hours. During this time, make sure he has access to fresh water to prevent dehydration.

Next, ensure your cat stays hydrated. You can offer small amounts of water frequently or provide ice cubes for him to lick.

Additionally, keep a close eye on his behavior. If he continues to hide, seems lethargic, or if the vomiting persists, it could indicate a more serious issue.

If the vomiting continues beyond 24 hours, or if you notice other symptoms like lethargy, diarrhea, or any signs of pain, it would be best to take your cat to a veterinarian. Persistent vomiting can lead to dehydration and other complications that need professional attention.
