I'm truly sorry to hear about your dog's condition. Given the severity of his pain and the worsening of his symptoms, it's essential to address this situation promptly. The symptoms you're describing could indicate a serious injury, such as a fracture, dislocation, or severe muscle or nerve damage.

Since the initial suspicion was a pulled muscle or pinched nerve, but no X-ray was performed, there might be an underlying issue that wasn't detected. Here are a few steps you can take at home while you arrange for immediate veterinary care:

First, try to minimize your dog's movement. Keeping him as still and comfortable as possible can help prevent further injury. Avoid letting him jump or move around too much.

Next, provide a quiet and comfortable space for him to rest. Use soft bedding and keep the area calm to reduce his stress.

It's also important to monitor his symptoms closely. Keep an eye on any changes in his behavior, such as increased pain, swelling, or difficulty breathing. Make a note of these changes to inform the vet.

If your vet has previously prescribed pain medication, you can administer it as directed. However, do not give any over-the-counter medications without veterinary guidance, as some can be harmful to dogs.

Given the severity of his symptoms, I strongly recommend taking him back to the vet or an emergency veterinary clinic as soon as possible. An X-ray or further diagnostic tests are likely needed to determine the exact cause of his pain and to provide appropriate treatment. Delaying could lead to complications or prolonged suffering for your dog.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
