Food poisoning in cats can be caused by ingestion of toxic foods, contaminated food, or chemicals. Common symptoms can include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and loss of appetite.

Firstly, remove any remaining food that you suspect may be contaminated to prevent further ingestion. Ensure your cat has access to fresh water, as dehydration can occur rapidly, especially if they are vomiting or have diarrhea.

Since your cat is not eating, you can try offering a small amount of a bland diet, such as boiled chicken or white fish, without any seasoning or oil. Sometimes, a bland diet can be more appealing and easier to digest for a cat with an upset stomach.

It's also important to keep your cat in a quiet, comfortable area to reduce stress and allow for close monitoring. Watch for additional symptoms such as increased lethargy, difficulty breathing, seizures, or any changes in behavior. These symptoms could indicate a more serious condition and immediate veterinary care would be necessary.

If your cat continues to refuse food for more than 24 hours, or if you notice any of the aforementioned symptoms, it's crucial to seek veterinary assistance.
