He threw up about 6 times in one sitting. First it was all of his food and the last 2 times it was just liquid
Vomiting multiple times in a short period can indeed be concerning, especially for a young dog like your Pomeranian. Since the vomiting started with food and ended with liquid, it suggests that his stomach is emptying out completely.
Firstly, he might have eaten something that didn't agree with him, which is known as dietary indiscretion. Another possibility is that infections or parasites could be causing the vomiting. Given that he's also itching, there might be a connection, although itching is more commonly related to skin issues or allergies.
For home care, you can start by withholding food for 12 hours to give his stomach a rest. Make sure he has access to fresh water to prevent dehydration. After the fasting period, reintroduce food slowly with a bland diet like boiled chicken and rice in small amounts. Gradually reintroduce his regular food over a few days.
If the vomiting continues, if he becomes lethargic, or if you notice any other concerning symptoms, it would be best to take him to a veterinarian. Persistent vomiting can lead to dehydration and other complications that need professional attention.
