One of the many causes of puppy coughing is kennel cough. Kennelcough is an infectious bronchitis that comes to dogs, an inflammatory disease that occurs in the dog's bronchus and mucous membranes, and you can think of it as a dog cold. The cause is viruses and bacterial microorganisms, and when these substances enter the dog's throat, they appear as cold symptoms after an incubation period of 3 to 5 days.

You don't have to worry too much because Sarah's runny nose is transparent and not sticky, and Sarah's breathing or whole body condition is likely to be physiological, but if her runny nose gradually gets darker or worse, or if her cough or breathing is weird, you should see a doctor at an animal hospital. The first emergency measure you can take at home is to keep the humidity high. When you wipe Sarah's runny nose, gently wipe it with a warm towel and provide soft food and water. If you have a nebulizer, apply it with sterile physiological saline. If you don't have a nebulizer, leaving Sarah in a hot steam-filled shower booth for 5–10 minutes can also work.

Kennelcough can be cured easily if treated, but if Sarah is careless, it can be a complication of pneumonia, so please get her treated as prescribed by the animal hospital.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
