Given the frequency and duration of the symptoms, it's important to manage his hydration and monitor for signs of dehydration, which can occur quickly in small breeds like Chihuahuas.

To help manage the vomiting and diarrhea at home, you can start by withholding food for 12-24 hours to rest his stomach. However, ensure he has access to fresh water at all times. If he is not vomiting, you can offer small amounts of water frequently but avoid letting him drink too much at once, as this can induce more vomiting.

After the fasting period, you can introduce a bland diet—boiled chicken and rice, for example—in small, frequent meals. This can help soothe the digestive tract and provide easily digestible nutrients. Gradually reintroduce his regular diet over a few days once the vomiting and diarrhea have stopped.

In terms of when to seek immediate veterinary attention, watch for the following signs:
- Persistent vomiting or diarrhea despite fasting and bland diet
- Signs dehydration, such as dry gums, lethargy, or decreased skin elasticity
- Any neurological signs, such as stumbling, disorientation, or seizures
