He over ate earlier( about 3 1/2 hours ago) about 1 1/2 ago he started hiding and acting like he was going to be sick. He is drinking, and will seem okay one minute, playing with my other dog, and the next he will go under things and start licking and swallowing hard ( will share video)
When dogs overeat, they can feel quite full, which might lead to nausea or general discomfort. The behaviors you're noticing, such as hiding and licking, can indeed be signs of nausea.
Firstly, keep an eye on him for any signs of vomiting or diarrhea. These could be his body's way of dealing with the excess food.
Next, try to keep him calm and limit his activity for the next few hours. Overactivity can sometimes make nausea worse.
Make sure he has access to fresh water, but offer it in small amounts. Drinking too much water at once can sometimes exacerbate nausea.
Additionally, observe him for any other symptoms such as lethargy, bloating, or discomfort when his abdomen is touched. These could indicate a more serious issue like bloat, which is an emergency.
If his symptoms persist or worsen, or if you notice any severe symptoms like bloating, repeated vomiting, or extreme lethargy, it would be best to seek veterinary care immediately. These could be signs of a more serious condition that requires prompt attention.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
