My dog is having a twitch in her right neck I believe and does not want to walk around. She jumped off of the couch 20 minutes ago and didn’t want to move after that. The spasms are slowing down but are still continuing. The area also appears to be swollen.
It sounds like your Boston Terrier may have injured herself when she jumped off the couch. The twitching and reluctance to move, along with the swelling, suggest she might be experiencing pain or discomfort, possibly from a muscle strain, sprain, or even a minor fracture.
For now, try to keep her as comfortable and calm as possible. You can apply a cold compress to the swollen area for about 10-15 minutes to help reduce the swelling and discomfort. Make sure she rests and avoid letting her jump or move around too much.
Monitor her closely for any changes. If the twitching continues, the swelling worsens, or she shows signs of severe pain or distress, it would be best to seek veterinary care as soon as possible. These symptoms could indicate a more serious injury that might require professional treatment.
