Leroy's symptoms of weakness, lethargy, vomiting, and diarrhea after consuming a mixture of milk, raw egg, and bread could be indicative of several underlying issues. The immediate vomiting upon drinking water is particularly concerning as it suggests a high level of gastrointestinal irritation or a possible obstruction.

The combination of milk, raw egg, and bread is not an ideal diet for a dog, especially one that is showing signs of gastrointestinal distress. Dogs can be lactose intolerant, and milk can cause diarrhea in these cases. Raw eggs can carry the risk of salmonella infection, which can also lead to vomiting and diarrhea. Bread, while not harmful in small quantities, does not provide the necessary nutrients a dog needs and can contribute to gastrointestinal upset if eaten in large amounts or if the dog has a grain allergy.

Given Leroy's symptoms, it would be advisable to withhold food for 12-24 hours to allow his gastrointestinal tract to settle. Ensure he has access to small amounts of water frequently, but if he continues to vomit even after drinking water, this could lead to dehydration, which is a concern.

After the fasting period, introduce a bland diet consisting of boiled chicken and rice in small, frequent meals. This is gentle on the stomach and can help firm up the stool. Gradually reintroduce his regular diet over a few days once he is tolerating the bland diet without vomiting or diarrhea.

Probiotics formulated for dogs may also be beneficial in restoring the natural balance of flora in Leroy's gut. However, it's important to use a product designed for canine use.

Keep a close eye on Leroy for any signs of dehydration, which can include dry gums, sunken eyes, and decreased skin elasticity. If you notice these signs or if Leroy's condition worsens at any point, such as if he becomes more lethargic, develops a distended abdomen, or shows signs of pain, these are indications that he needs to be seen by a professional immediately. Additionally, if the vomiting and diarrhea persist despite the fasting and bland diet, or if you notice blood in his vomit or stool, these are also urgent reasons to seek professional care.

Remember, it's important to monitor Leroy's overall behavior and stool consistency as he recovers. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back to us! Thank you.
