He was puking every day until he started a prescription food. That helped. He was on nausea medicine for 10 days. Then he was puking up hair balls for three days. Was going to the bathroom outside of his litter box and now has clear discharge coming from his right eye.

It sounds like your cat has been through quite a bit recently. Let's take a closer look at each of the symptoms and address them individually.

The clear discharge from your cat's eye, along with tearing and sensitivity to light, might be due to mild irritation or could be an early sign of an eye infection. You can gently clean the area around the eye using a soft cloth dampened with warm water. If both eyes are affected, be sure to use a separate cloth for each eye to prevent any potential spread of infection. Keep an eye on any changes, such as increased redness or swelling, as these might require further attention.

Regarding the vomiting, it's reassuring to know that the prescription food and nausea medication have been helpful. Hairballs are quite common in cats, especially those with longer fur. Regular grooming can help reduce the amount of hair your cat ingests. You might also consider a hairball control diet or supplements designed to assist with hairball passage.

As for the inappropriate urination, this could be related to stress or a urinary issue. Make sure the litter box is clean and placed in a quiet, accessible location. If this behavior continues, it might be worth investigating further, as urinary issues can sometimes indicate underlying health problems.

Since the symptoms have been ongoing but are not currently active, continue to monitor your cat's condition. If any symptoms return or worsen, or if you notice new symptoms, it would be wise to consult with a veterinarian to ensure there are no underlying issues that need addressing.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
