My 7 year old male Boxer is having squirts of pungent urine/fluid emit from his penis. Been going on the last 3 hours.
It sounds like your Boxer might be dealing with a urinary tract infection (UTI) or another issue related to his urinary system. The pungent smell and fluid discharge are definitely concerning and could indicate an infection or inflammation.
In the meantime, there are a few steps you can take at home to help:
Firstly, make sure your dog is drinking plenty of water. Staying well-hydrated can help flush out his urinary system. Secondly, keep an eye on any additional symptoms, such as blood in his urine, increased frequency of urination, or signs of pain while urinating. Lastly, gently clean the area around his penis with a damp cloth to prevent any secondary infections from developing.
Given the symptoms and the fact that they have been ongoing for a few hours, I strongly recommend taking your dog to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
