My 5 month old poodle seems to be having difficulty breathing, with its head leaning forward as if it’s trying to cough but can’t get it out.
It seems like she is trying to cough but can't, and she is constantly licking her mouth and paws. Over the past week, she has become less interested in eating her dog food. I've tried mixing her favorite canned meat with her dog food, finely crushed, but she only eats after being coaxed.

It sounds like your young dog is experiencing some troubling symptoms, including difficulty breathing, head leaning forward, coughing attempts, and a decreased appetite. These signs can be quite concerning and may indicate a range of issues, from respiratory infections to something lodged in her throat, or even more serious conditions like heart problems.

Additionally, the constant licking of her mouth and paws might suggest nausea or general discomfort. Her reduced interest in eating and the need for coaxing to get her to eat further indicate that she is not feeling well.

Given the severity of these symptoms, I strongly recommend that you take your poodle to a veterinarian immediately. Difficulty breathing is always a serious concern and requires prompt attention to ensure she receives the appropriate care.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
