For the sneezing and coughing, these could be signs of a respiratory infection, which in cats can be caused by viruses like feline herpesvirus and calicivirus, or bacterial infections. The stinky breath might be related to dental issues, which can also lead to a loss of appetite if eating becomes painful, or it could be connected to the respiratory infection if there is a nasal discharge that is being swallowed.

Difficulty in breathing is a symptom that should never be taken lightly, as it could indicate a more serious underlying condition such as asthma, heart disease, or even a foreign body in the airway.

Try offering a variety of wet foods, as the smell can entice cats to eat, and the moisture content is beneficial for hydration. Use a humidifier in the room where your cat spends most of his time, as the added moisture can help ease respiratory symptoms.

If you notice any of the following, it's crucial to seek immediate veterinary attention:

- Persistent open-mouth breathing or increased effort to breathe.
- Sudden collapse or extreme lethargy.
- Refusal to eat for more than 24 hours.
- Severe coughing that interrupts sleep or leads to gagging.
