When a young puppy starts vomiting white and foamy material, it can be concerning. This could be due to an upset stomach, possibly from eating something disagreeable, or it might be a mild gastrointestinal irritation. Given your puppy's young age, it's crucial to keep a close eye on him.

To help manage this at home, you can start by withholding food for about 12 hours. This gives his stomach a chance to settle. However, ensure he still has access to fresh water to prevent dehydration. After this fasting period, you can gradually reintroduce food by offering small amounts of a bland diet, like boiled chicken and rice, in small, frequent meals. This gentle approach can help ease his digestive system back into regular eating.

While you're doing this, monitor him for any additional symptoms such as diarrhea, lethargy, or changes in behavior, as these could indicate a more serious issue. It's also important to check for signs of dehydration. You can do this by gently lifting the skin on the back of his neck; if it doesn't snap back quickly, he might be dehydrated.

If the vomiting continues beyond a day or if you notice any other concerning symptoms, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian.
