Since your cat has only been drooling for a few hours, there are a few steps you can take at home to assess the situation:

Firstly, try to gently check your cat's mouth for any foreign objects, dental issues, or signs of irritation. Be cautious during this process, as your cat might not be too fond of having its mouth examined and could react defensively.

Next, observe her behavior closely. If she continues to eat, drink, and play normally, that's a positive sign. However, if she appears distressed, lethargic, or stops eating, it might suggest a more serious issue.

Also, think about any recent changes in her environment or routine that could be causing stress. Cats are quite sensitive to changes, and stress can sometimes lead to drooling.

Additionally, ensure she hasn't come into contact with any toxins, such as certain plants, chemicals, or human foods that are harmful to cats.

If the drooling persists or you notice other symptoms like vomiting, difficulty swallowing, or behavioral changes, it would be prudent to consult a veterinarian to rule out any underlying health issues.
