The symptoms you describe could be caused by a number of things, including dental disease, a foreign object, or allergies. And cats can suffer from cold-like symptoms due to viral or bacterial infections. The color of the mucus suggests it could be bacterial in nature.

If the discharge is only from one nostril and persistent, gently wipe away any mucus from his nose with a soft, damp cloth to help him breathe more easily. However, do not attempt to insert anything into his nostril.

While these steps can provide some relief, it's important to monitor for additional symptoms that would necessitate immediate veterinary attention. These include:

- Difficulty breathing or open-mouth breathing
- Significant decrease in appetite or refusal to eat for more than 24 hours
- Lethargy or unresponsiveness
- Swelling around the face or nose
- Bleeding from the nose
- Any change in behavior that concerns you

Because Seven's symptoms are old, I recommend taking him to the vet, if possible, to determine the exact cause and condition.
