She's a rescue and severely malnourished I'm not sure her actual age but I'm thinking 5-6 weeks she's rejecting the bottle her eyes are crusted shut and she can barely breahe
It sounds like your little rescue kitten is having a tough time, and given her age and the severity of her symptoms, it's crucial to address these issues promptly.
The crusted eyes and discharge suggest she might have an eye infection, which could be caused by bacteria, viruses, or even irritants. The sneezing and difficulty breathing might indicate an upper respiratory infection, which is quite common in young kittens, especially those who are malnourished or have been in stressful environments.
For immediate home care, you can gently clean her eyes with a warm, damp cloth to remove the crust and discharge. Be very gentle to avoid causing any discomfort or injury. Make sure the cloth is clean and use a separate part of the cloth for each eye to prevent any potential spread of infection.
Given her difficulty breathing and other symptoms like loss of appetite and weight loss, it's important to keep her warm and comfortable. You might try offering her some highly palatable food, such as a bit of wet kitten food or even some plain, cooked chicken, to encourage her to eat.
However, considering her severe symptoms and the fact that she's struggling to breathe, it's essential to get her to a veterinarian as soon as possible. These symptoms can escalate quickly in young kittens, and professional care is necessary to provide the appropriate treatments and supportive care she needs.
