Since last Thursday my cat has been throwing up hours after eating his food. Other than that he’s fine, he’s eating his food fine but it keeps coming back up. He can’t seem to keep food down.

Vomiting in kittens can indeed be concerning, especially when it happens multiple times a day over several days. Since your kitten is still eating but unable to keep the food down, there are a few things you might want to consider.

Firstly, dietary causes could be a factor. If you've recently changed your kitten's food, it might be worth reverting to the previous diet, as sudden changes or food intolerances can sometimes lead to vomiting.

Another aspect to consider is your kitten's eating habits. Eating too quickly can often result in vomiting, so you might try feeding smaller, more frequent meals to help your kitten keep the food down.

Kittens are naturally curious and may ingest non-food items, which can also cause vomiting. It's important to ensure your home is free of small objects that your kitten could swallow.

Additionally, intestinal parasites are quite common in kittens and can lead to vomiting. Even if you haven't noticed any flea or tick issues, it might be a good idea to have your vet check for parasites.

Hydration is crucial, as vomiting can lead to dehydration. Make sure your kitten has access to fresh water frequently.

Since your kitten has been vomiting for several days, it's important to keep an eye out for any additional symptoms such as lethargy, diarrhea, or changes in behavior. If the vomiting continues or if you notice any new symptoms, consulting a veterinarian would be a wise step to rule out any underlying health issues.

If you have any further questions or need additional guidance, please feel free to reach out. Thank you.
