Given the symptoms of excessive itching, redness, and swelling, there are several potential causes to consider, including allergic reactions, infections, or insect bites.

Firstly, it's crucial to keep the affected area clean and dry. You can gently wash the area with a mild, hypoallergenic soap and then pat it dry with a clean cloth. It's best to avoid using any harsh or abrasive products, as these could further irritate Shark's skin. Applying a thin layer of antibiotic ointment can also help prevent any potential infections.

If you suspect that the rash might be due to an allergic reaction, try to identify any potential allergens Shark may have come into contact with, such as certain foods, plants, or chemicals. Switching to a hypoallergenic diet could also be beneficial in this case.

Since Shark is not in pain and remains active and eating well, you can continue to monitor the situation for a few more days. However, if the rash and swelling do not improve or if they worsen, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. They can provide a more thorough examination and recommend specific treatments, such as medicated shampoos or prescription medications.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
