Diarrhea in dogs can be caused by various factors, including dietary indiscretion, stress, infections, or even parasites. Since Benny's diarrhea seems to be episodic and related to certain triggers, it’s possible that his digestive system is sensitive to changes in diet or environment.

Firstly, you might also consider feeding him a bland diet for a few days, such as boiled chicken and rice, to help settle his stomach.

Secondly, ensure Benny stays well-hydrated, especially since diarrhea can lead to dehydration. Change the water frequently, and place the water in several places. Adding a very small amount of sugar to the water may also help.

If the diarrhea persists for more than a couple of days, becomes bloody, or if he shows other symptoms like vomiting, lethargy, or loss of appetite, it would be best to take him to a vet.

Regarding the DHPP 5-1 vaccine, this is an important vaccination that protects against several serious diseases, including distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza. The cost of the DHPP vaccine can vary depending on your location and the veterinary clinic, but it typically ranges from $20 to $50. It's a good idea to call your local vet clinic to get an exact price and schedule an appointment.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
