I'm sorry to hear about the aggression issues between your dogs. It can be quite distressing to deal with such behavior, especially when it seems to occur without a clear trigger. Here are some steps you can take to manage and potentially resolve this situation:

First, even though it seems like there are no obvious triggers, try to observe any subtle cues that might be setting off the aggression. This could include changes in the environment, noises, or even the presence of certain objects.

Since the aggression occurs at night, consider separating the dogs during this time. You can use baby gates or place them in different rooms to prevent any altercations.

Dogs thrive on routine, so ensure that both dogs have a consistent daily schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime. This can help reduce anxiety and potential triggers for aggression.

Make sure both dogs are getting enough physical exercise and mental stimulation. A tired dog is less likely to exhibit aggressive behavior. Interactive toys, puzzle feeders, and regular playtime can be very beneficial.

Reward both dogs for calm and non-aggressive behavior. Use treats, praise, and affection to reinforce positive interactions between them.

Gradually expose the dogs to each other in a controlled and positive manner. Start with short, supervised interactions and gradually increase the duration as they become more comfortable.

If the aggression persists, it might be beneficial to consult a professional dog trainer or a behaviorist. They can provide tailored advice and training techniques to address the specific issues between your dogs.

Sometimes, underlying health issues can contribute to behavioral changes. Ensure both dogs are up-to-date with their health check-ups. Since your dog is experiencing nose issues, it might be worth investigating if this is contributing to his behavior.

Remember, patience and consistency are key when dealing with behavioral issues. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
