Callie has always since I've had her taken spells where she will either throw up yellowish green foamy liquid. Or sometime she will regurgitate her food for no apparent reason. She will do it a couple times for like 1 to 2 days and then she is fine for weeks or even months and then out of nowhere she'll have another spell. Anytime I give her anything new I do it one thing at a time that way I can gage whether it bothers her or not. But sometimes she does it when there has been nothing new added. She doesn't usually act like she's sick. She will throw up out of no where and then she's fine playing and stuff.
One common reason for vomiting yellowish liquid in dogs is an empty stomach, which can lead to bile build-up and irritation. This often occurs when there's a long gap between meals. You might try feeding her smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day to see if that helps reduce the vomiting episodes.
Another possibility is that she might have a mild form of acid reflux or a sensitive stomach. Since you already introduce new foods one at a time, continue monitoring her diet closely. Avoid giving her fatty or spicy foods, and stick to a consistent, high-quality diet.
Regarding the itching, it could be related to allergies, either environmental or food-related. Since she’s on flea and tick prevention, it's less likely to be due to parasites. You might want to observe if the itching coincides with the vomiting episodes or if there are any other triggers like certain foods or environmental changes.
If the vomiting continues or worsens, or if you notice other symptoms like lethargy, diarrhea, or significant weight loss, it would be best to consult a veterinarian. They can perform a thorough examination and possibly run some tests to rule out any underlying conditions.
