Skin
Redness
Hair loss
Sticky skin

I have just noticed a lesion or sore or something next to my cats anus, I don’t see any pus but it looks raw and there’s two holes with I think blood coming out, I don’t think it’s a puncture wound, she does have an over licking problem but she’s never had any kind of wounds like this ever before

It sounds like your cat might be experiencing an issue related to her anal glands or possibly an infection. The redness, hair loss, sticky skin, and lesions you described could indicate an anal gland abscess or infection. Cats have two small glands near the anus that can sometimes become impacted or infected, leading to the symptoms you're observing.

Here are a few steps you can take at home to help your cat:

Firstly, gently clean the affected area with warm water and a mild antiseptic solution. Be very gentle to avoid causing further irritation.

Secondly, keep a close eye on the lesion for any changes, such as increased redness, swelling, or discharge. Monitoring these changes can help you determine if the condition is improving or worsening.

Additionally, try to prevent your cat from licking the area excessively. You might consider using an Elizabethan collar (cone) to stop her from reaching the area and potentially making it worse.

Given the symptoms and their location, it's crucial to monitor her closely. If the condition worsens or if you notice any signs of pain, lethargy, or changes in her behavior, it would be best to seek veterinary care promptly. Anal gland issues can sometimes require professional treatment, such as draining or antibiotics.
