The yellow vomit could indicate bile, which suggests that the dog's stomach was empty at the time of vomiting. This can occur with a variety of gastrointestinal disturbances or if the dog has not eaten for a while.

The squishy stools suggest a mild form of diarrhea. Diarrhea can be caused by dietary indiscretion (eating something they shouldn't have), infections, parasites, or even stress. Given that there is no blood or black coloration to the stool, more severe causes like parvovirus or hemorrhagic gastroenteritis are less likely, especially considering the dog's vaccination history.

At home, ensure that he has access to clean water at all times to prevent dehydration. Change the water frequently, and place the water in several places. Adding a very small amount of sugar to the water may also help. Keep an eye on his hydration status. You can check this by lifting the skin on the back of the neck; if it snaps back quickly, hydration is likely adequate. If it returns slowly, this could indicate dehydration.

You might want to fast him for the next 24 hours and gradually re-introduce him with a bland(boiled chicken, rice) or a low-fat diet. Low fat is crucial as high fat provokes stomach acid which can induce vomiting and diarrhea. Such fasting approach is sometimes effective in acute vomiting or diarrhea. If he does not improve after all these tries, an appointment with a veterinarian is necessary.

Monitor your dog closely for any changes. If the vomiting and diarrhea persist beyond 24-48 hours, if he becomes lethargic, if there is a significant change in behavior, or if you notice blood in the vomit or stool, these are signs that you should seek veterinary attention promptly.
