I'm sorry to hear that Deku is experiencing these issues. Diarrhea in puppies can indeed be concerning, especially when it is frequent and has been ongoing for several days. Based on the symptoms you described, there are a few potential causes we should consider:

Firstly, dietary issues could be a factor. Sudden changes in diet or consuming something inappropriate can often lead to diarrhea. It would be helpful to ensure that Deku hasn't eaten anything unusual or spoiled recently.

Infections are another possibility. Bacterial, viral, or parasitic infections can cause diarrhea, and puppies are particularly susceptible to these due to their developing immune systems.

Stress or anxiety might also be contributing to Deku's gastrointestinal upset. Changes in the environment or routine can sometimes trigger such reactions in dogs.

Lastly, intestinal parasites are quite common in puppies and can cause diarrhea. These parasites, such as worms, require specific treatments to be effectively managed.

For home care, you can take a few steps to help Deku:

First, ensure he stays hydrated by offering plenty of fresh water. You might also consider an electrolyte solution designed for pets.

Next, temporarily switch his diet to something bland, like boiled chicken and rice, to help settle his stomach. It's best to avoid giving him treats or rich foods during this time.

Additionally, keep a close eye on his behavior and watch for any additional symptoms, such as vomiting, lethargy, or signs of pain.

Given the severity and duration of Deku's symptoms, it's crucial to seek veterinary care as soon as possible. Persistent diarrhea, especially with changes in color and odor, can lead to dehydration and may indicate a more serious underlying issue that requires professional treatment. A veterinarian can perform tests to determine the exact cause and provide the appropriate treatment.
