Behavior
Aggression
Separation anxiety
Destructive behavior
Excessive barking

he’s been randomly aggressive with seemingly no triggers, is very vocal, and has been running and pacing around the apartment at times. when he’s running he gets into things he normally doesn’t get into and when i pick him up he is panting for maybe 5-20 seconds. when i bring him to a secluded area he calms down after about 10 minutes or so and sits with me purring. if i bring him out to the rest of the apartment with my fiance he eventually gets aggressive again after about 15-20 minutes

It sounds like your kitten is going through some behavioral challenges, which can be quite common given his young age. Kittens are full of energy and are still learning about their surroundings and social interactions.

Firstly, kittens have a lot of energy, and if they don't have a proper outlet, they can become destructive or aggressive. Make sure he has plenty of toys to play with, and engage in interactive play sessions using wand toys or laser pointers to help burn off some of that energy.

Establishing a consistent routine can also help reduce his anxiety and stress. Try to feed him at the same times each day, and have regular playtimes and rest periods.

Providing plenty of environmental enrichment is another good strategy. This can include scratching posts, climbing trees, and puzzle feeders, which can help keep him mentally stimulated and reduce destructive behavior.

Since these behaviors have been ongoing for a couple of days and are quite frequent, it's important to keep a close eye on him. If the aggression or panting worsens, or if you notice any other concerning symptoms, consulting with a behavioral specialist may also be a good option.

And I was worried about him, was he okay after the onion incident?

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
