She has a bloated stomach and diarrhea. She is acting normal besides that: drinking, wanting to eat, playing with her chew toys. She did have a positive stool sample on 8/22 for roundworm. On 8/23 we gave her simpatica trio as treatment as adviced by our vet

It's reassuring to hear that your puppy remains active and playful despite her bloated stomach and diarrhea. Given her recent positive stool sample for roundworm and the treatment with Simparica Trio, it's possible that the bloating and diarrhea are related to the deworming process. When roundworms are eliminated, they can sometimes cause gastrointestinal upset as they pass through the system.

However, a bloated stomach in puppies can also indicate more serious conditions, such as gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), which is a life-threatening emergency. Although GDV is more common in older dogs, it's important to be cautious. Symptoms of GDV include a distended and painful abdomen, restlessness, and unproductive retching.

Please ensure she stays hydrated by offering her small amounts of water frequently. And monitor her closely for any changes in behavior, such as lethargy, vomiting, or signs of pain.

But if her belly is hard to the touch, this could be a deadly disease. Take her to the hospital as soon as possible.

Given the severity of potential issues like GDV and the fact that she's still experiencing symptoms, I strongly recommend taking her to a veterinarian as soon as possible.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
