After cleaning and stopping the bleeding, you can bandage the paw to protect the nail and keep it clean. Be sure to change the bandage daily and keep an eye on the wound.

If your dog seems to be in pain, consult with your veterinarian about appropriate pain relief options. Additionally, monitor the nail for signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, or discharge. If you notice any of these signs, it's important to seek veterinary care.
