Grapes, along with raisins, have been known to cause toxicity in some dogs. However, it's important to note that not all dogs will have the same reaction to grapes, and the severity of the reaction can vary. Some dogs may experience mild gastrointestinal upset, while others can develop more serious symptoms, such as kidney damage or failure.

Considering Chente only ate one grape, it's difficult to determine the exact level of risk involved. However, it's worth noting that even a single grape can be toxic to some dogs.

So, I highly recommend taking Chente to the ER. If you already have symptoms, it's because the kidneys are damaged, so it's hard to turn around and you can die.

But if you can't take him to the ER, to induce vomiting, use less than 3% hydrogen peroxide. The most important step is to get the grape out of Chente’s system before it is digested. However, this method may cause side effects of gastritis or esophagitis. And please keep in mind that this method can only be used within 2 hours of ingestion.

Next, closely monitor Chente for any signs of grape toxicity. Symptoms to watch for include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and a decreased appetite. More severe symptoms can include abdominal pain, dehydration, and increased thirst or urination.

I sincerely wish Chente well. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back to us! Thank you.
