There's actually no issue. I want to ask question out of curiosity.
Which dog could be happier and healthier?
a) dog which have single or two walks- max. 2-3h per day but has a lot of snuffle activities, playtimes or off leash walks in the nature areas
b) dog that has 3-6h of constant running with no enriching mental exercises like simple sniffing
c) dog that has 2-3h of walks but sectioned to multiple tiny 30min walkies around same apartament/street

Astra is more likely answer a). ;)

It's wonderful that you're interested in what contributes to a dog's happiness and health! Each dog is unique, but generally, a balanced approach to both physical and mental stimulation is essential for their well-being.

Option A appears to be the most enriching and balanced choice. Dogs thrive on a mix of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Activities like snuffle mats, playtime, and off-leash walks in nature provide not only physical exercise but also mental enrichment through new smells, sights, and experiences. This combination helps keep a dog both physically fit and mentally sharp.

Option B, while focusing heavily on physical exercise, lacks the mental stimulation that dogs also need. Running is excellent for physical health, but without mental challenges, dogs can become bored and may develop behavioral issues. Mental enrichment is crucial to prevent anxiety and destructive behaviors.

Option C offers regular physical activity but might lack the variety and mental stimulation that dogs require. Walking the same routes can become monotonous, and shorter, frequent walks might not give a dog enough time to fully explore and engage with their environment.

It sounds like Astra enjoys a well-rounded routine with a mix of physical and mental activities, which is fantastic! Keeping her engaged with varied activities will likely contribute to her overall happiness and health.
