Grapes can indeed be toxic to dogs, even in small quantities.

Considering cookie only ate half a grape, it's difficult to determine the exact level of risk involved. However, it's worth noting that grape halves can also be toxic to some dogs.

So, I highly recommend taking him to the ER. If you already have symptoms, it's because the kidneys are damaged, so it's hard to turn around and you can die.

The longer grapes sit in the stomach and are digested, the potential for kidney damage and kidney failure increases exponentially. The key is removing the toxic substance from the body as soon as possible.

If you can't take him to the ER, to induce vomiting, use less than 3% hydrogen peroxide. The most important step is to get the grape out of his system before it is digested. However, this method may cause side effects of gastritis or esophagitis. And you can only try it within two hours of consuming grapes.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
