I gave her to many sedation pills. She is just laying in bed right now breathing heavily and not wanting to fall asleep. I gave her two sedation pills and tried to give her a pain med since she has a cast on at the moment and wasn’t falling asleep. When I gave her the meds she ate the sedation pill but spit out the med medication and started excessively drooling from the mouth. Should I bring her to the vet or should I let her lay down until the medicine wears off and keep a close eye on her?
It's really important to address this situation without delay. Administering too many sedation pills can result in an overdose, which is a serious medical emergency. The symptoms you're observing, such as heavy breathing and excessive drooling, are concerning and might indicate a reaction to the medication or an overdose.
I urge you to take your dog to a veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital as soon as possible. They will be able to provide the necessary treatment to ensure her safety and closely monitor her condition. It's crucial not to wait, as the effects of the medication can be unpredictable and potentially harmful.
Please seek veterinary care immediately. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thank you.
