My blue was just shot less than a hour and a half ago and I need to know my options considering he was attacked for no reason absolutely nothing what so ever he's starting to get feverish and shock is beginning to show what's my options to stop the bleeding and keep shock from starting to increase
I'm truly sorry to hear about Blue's situation. This is indeed an emergency, and it's crucial to get him to a veterinarian as soon as possible. In the meantime, here are some steps you can take to help him:
First, try to stop the bleeding by applying direct pressure to the wound with a clean cloth or bandage. If the bleeding is severe, you might need to use a tourniquet above the wound, but remember, this should only be a temporary measure until you reach professional help.
Next, it's important to prevent shock. Keep Blue as calm and still as possible by laying him on his side with the injured side facing up. Cover him with a blanket to maintain his body temperature, as shock can cause a significant drop in temperature.
If Blue is conscious and able to drink, offer him small amounts of water to keep him hydrated. However, do not force him to drink if he is unwilling.
Finally, transport him to the nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately. If you can, call ahead to inform them that you are on your way and describe the nature of the emergency.
The fever and signs of shock are very concerning and indicate that his condition is worsening. Immediate professional intervention is necessary to stabilize him and provide the appropriate treatment.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.
