I'm glad to hear that your hamster is behaving normally. The red substance you've noticed in the cage could be a few different things. It might simply be food residue, particularly if you've recently given your hamster red fruits or vegetables. Additionally, some bedding materials contain dyes that can appear red when they become wet.

If it were blood, you would probably see some on your hamster or notice changes in its behavior, such as lethargy or signs of discomfort. Since your hamster is eating and running around as usual, it's less likely to be blood.

I recommend keeping an eye on your hamster for any changes in behavior or health. If you observe anything unusual, it would be a good idea to consult a veterinarian to ensure everything is alright.

If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out. Thank you!
