The Male Cat has a wound between his rectum and genitalia. He is lethargic, hasn’t been eating, and has been throwing up. The throw up is a brownish color.

Firstly, the location of the wound is concerning as it could be prone to infection due to its proximity to fecal matter. This could lead to an abscess or a systemic infection, which might be contributing to his lethargy and vomiting. The brownish color of the vomit could indicate the presence of digested blood, which suggests that there may be bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract, or it could be the result of ingesting food or substances that are not being properly digested due to his current health state.

At home, you can start by ensuring that the wound is kept as clean as possible. Gently clean the area with warm water and mild antiseptic, but avoid using any strong chemicals or irritants. Prevent him from licking or biting the wound, which might require the use of an Elizabethan collar (cone).

Monitor his hydration status closely. Dehydration can occur quickly in a vomiting cat and can complicate his condition. Offer small amounts of water frequently, and if he is not vomiting this up, you can try offering a bland diet such as boiled chicken or white fish, which may be easier on his stomach.

And, even if cats do not eat for at least 48 hours, they will develop fatal liver damage (hepatic lipidosis). So, if your cat hasn't eaten in two days, it's important to re-establish his appetite, but veterinarian treatment must be done for the two days of anorexia. As a result, please take him to the veterinarian as soon as possible. You should also think about going to an emergency room.
But if he's been eating little by little for last 2 days, you don't need to rush to the emergency room; instead, please attempt to get him to eat his normal favorite food or anything with a strong smell, and you may also try forced feeding by putting moist food on his palate. Of course, the need to schedule an appointment with an animal hospital as quickly as possible does not change.
