Yesterday I tried to pick my cat up and he yelped and he has been very lethargic today I noticed a soft like lump under his right leg on his ribs almost like fluid and its only getting bigger within a couple hours he can't even walk on his paw now at all he is still eating and drinking but on only very little but his gums are pale he is an inside cat so i don't know what could have happened
I'm truly sorry to hear about Mufasa's condition. The lump could potentially be an abscess, cyst, hematoma, or even a tumor. Given that it's growing rapidly and affecting his mobility, it's crucial to have him examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
The pale gums suggest he might be experiencing anemia or poor circulation, which could be related to the lump or another underlying issue. While it's a positive sign that he's still eating and drinking, even if less than usual, it doesn't rule out serious conditions.
In the meantime, try to keep him comfortable and closely monitor his eating, drinking, and behavior. Avoid putting pressure on the lump or the affected leg. Ensure he has a quiet, comfortable place to rest, along with access to fresh water and his favorite food.
Given the severity of the symptoms and the rapid progression, I recommend taking him to a veterinarian immediately. The vet will be able to perform a thorough examination, possibly including imaging and blood tests, to determine the cause of the lump and the best course of treatment.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you.
