It's understandable to be concerned when a young cat becomes less active, sleeps more, and loses its appetite. These symptoms can stem from various factors, such as stress, infections, or other underlying health issues. Since this has been ongoing for a few days, it's crucial to monitor him closely.

Firstly, check for any signs of illness. Look for additional symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, sneezing, or discharge from the eyes or nose. Also, examine his gums to see if they are pale and check if he has a fever. A cat's normal temperature ranges between 100.5°F and 102.5°F.

Ensuring he stays hydrated is also important. Make sure he is drinking water, as dehydration can be serious. You can check his hydration by gently lifting the skin at the back of his neck; if it doesn't snap back quickly, he might be dehydrated.

To encourage him to eat, try offering some palatable foods like warmed-up wet cat food, plain boiled chicken, or tuna.

Lastly, keep a close eye on his behavior, eating, and drinking habits. Note any changes or additional symptoms.

Given that these symptoms have persisted for a few days and involve both lethargy and loss of appetite, it would be wise to consult a veterinarian. These signs can indicate a range of issues, from minor to serious, and a professional can provide a thorough examination and appropriate treatment.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
