Akil threw up yesterday morning at 3am (hairball/brown) then again today, around noon (brown), signs of dry mouth, then after giving him water he threw up clear with white bubbles

It sounds like Akil is experiencing some discomfort, and it's important to address this promptly. Vomiting in cats can stem from various causes, ranging from something as simple as hairballs to more complex issues like dietary indiscretion or gastrointestinal irritation. Given that Akil has been vomiting multiple times a day and is showing signs of a dry mouth, it's crucial to keep a close eye on his condition.
The clear liquid with white bubbles that Akil vomited might suggest that his stomach is empty, indicating that the vomiting could be more related to irritation or nausea rather than food-related issues. Here are some steps you can take at home to help him:
Firstly, ensure that Akil stays well-hydrated, as vomiting can quickly lead to dehydration. Offer him small amounts of water frequently, and you might also try giving him ice cubes to lick, which can be gentler on his stomach.
In terms of diet, you might want to temporarily withhold food for 12-24 hours to give his stomach a chance to settle. After this period, you can introduce a bland diet, such as boiled chicken or turkey with rice, served in small, frequent meals.
It's also important to monitor Akil for any additional symptoms, such as lethargy, diarrhea, or continued vomiting. These could indicate a more serious issue that needs attention.
Additionally, check his environment to ensure there are no foreign objects or plants that he might have ingested, as these can sometimes cause vomiting.
If Akil continues to vomit or if his condition worsens, it would be advisable to consult a veterinarian. They can perform a thorough examination and possibly recommend diagnostic tests to determine the underlying cause of the vomiting.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you for taking such good care of Akil.
