Has been sneezing for months on end. He sneezes multiple times in a row. I’ve tried vacuuming and dusting along with lukewarm towels on the nose for a few minutes not long enough to stop him from breathing of course. He has lived outside for a majority of his life. He is the darker gray in the photos.

It sounds like your cat's sneezing has been a persistent issue, and there are several potential causes to consider. Cats can sneeze due to allergies, respiratory infections, or irritants in their environment. Given that your cat has spent time outdoors, exposure to various allergens or irritants might be contributing to the problem.

Let's explore a few possibilities:

Firstly, allergies could be a factor. Cats can develop allergies to dust, pollen, mold, or even certain foods. To help manage this, continue keeping your cat's environment clean and consider using air purifiers to minimize allergens.

Secondly, chronic sneezing might suggest a respiratory infection, which could be either viral or bacterial. If you observe any additional symptoms such as nasal discharge, lethargy, or a loss of appetite, it would be wise to consult with a veterinarian.

Additionally, it's important to ensure that there are no strong-smelling cleaning products, smoke, or other irritants in your home that could be affecting your cat.

Lastly, increasing the humidity in your home might be beneficial if the air is particularly dry.

Since you've already taken steps like cleaning and using lukewarm towels, it's a good idea to continue monitoring your cat's condition. If the sneezing persists or worsens, or if other symptoms appear, a visit to the vet would be advisable to rule out any underlying issues.

If you have any further questions or need additional guidance, please feel free to reach out. Thank you for taking such good care of your cat.
