She had been coughing for months no hair ball just coughing. She lost weight very fast and is bony on top where she's normally obese. For two weeks she's been very weak and barely eating or drinking. I noticed there's diarrhea today yesterday it seemed she was constipated. She seems as though she's dying. Her breathing seems to be strained hard but steady. She's been cold intolerant some not grooming well. Also she purred for the first time today in a while. Alot wnn her back.

I'm truly sorry to hear about your cat's condition. The symptoms you're describing, such as prolonged coughing, rapid weight loss, weakness, changes in appetite, diarrhea, and difficulty breathing, are very concerning and could indicate a serious underlying health issue. These could be signs of respiratory problems, heart disease, or even a systemic illness affecting multiple organs.
Given her age and the severity of her symptoms, it's crucial to seek immediate veterinary attention. The rapid weight loss and difficulty breathing are particularly urgent signs that need professional evaluation. A veterinarian can perform necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood work, X-rays, or ultrasounds, to determine the cause and provide appropriate treatment.
In the meantime, try to keep her comfortable and ensure she has access to fresh water. You might offer her small amounts of her favorite food to encourage eating, but the priority should be getting her to a veterinarian as soon as possible.
Please take her to a veterinary hospital immediately to ensure she receives the care she needs. If you have any further questions please ask us. Thank you.
