I'm sorry to hear about your dog's discomfort. The symptoms you're describing, such as hair loss, flaky skin, excessive itching, and redness, could be due to several factors, including allergies, parasites like fleas or mites, or a skin infection.

To help alleviate her discomfort at home, you might consider a few steps. First, since she's not currently on any flea and tick prevention, it would be beneficial to start her on a suitable product, as fleas can cause severe itching and skin irritation. Additionally, bathing her with a gentle, hypoallergenic dog shampoo can help soothe her skin and remove potential allergens or irritants.

It's also important to ensure she's on a balanced diet, as food allergies can sometimes lead to skin issues. If you suspect food allergies, you might consider trying a hypoallergenic diet. Furthermore, take a look at her environment for potential allergens, such as certain plants or cleaning products, and try to minimize her exposure to them.

For her irritated nipples, applying a soothing ointment or cream can help with the irritation and prevent infection. However, given the severity and duration of her symptoms, and the fact that her nipples are scratched and bleeding, I strongly recommend consulting a veterinarian. They can perform tests to determine the exact cause and provide appropriate treatment, such as medications for allergies or infections.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thank you.
